Job summary

Livermore Area Recreation and Park District is seeking a Recreation Coordinator to manage programs, staff, and events at the Robert Livermore Community Center. This role is on-site with a Tuesday-Saturday, nighttime schedule and up to 40 hours per week.

The coordinator will oversee recreation activities, coordinate staff and volunteers, manage registrations, and ensure high-quality service to the community and user groups.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• 60 college units or related coursework are preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree is desirable but not required.
• Three years of experience directing and overseeing a recreation program or related operations may be substituted for education.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development, promotion, and implementation of diversified recreation programs.
• Manage day-to-day operations, scheduling, and volunteer coach recruitment.
• Coordinate staff, volunteers, registrations, and communications for programs.
• Lead coaching resources, including code of conduct and creed for volunteers.
• Oversee facility logistics, rentals, and equipment for programs and events.
