Job summary

The Garden, a 53,000-square-foot youth center owned by St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Houston, seeks an Associate Director to design and coordinate programming for youth ages 12–24.

The role combines daytime operations support with evening programming leadership to ensure a safe, inclusive environment. Reporting to the Director of Programs and Operations, you will lead workshops across health, knowledge, and art focus areas, coordinate external partners, recruit volunteers, and help track

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent lived/professional experience in education, youth development, or related field.
• Teaching certification or classroom experience are welcomed and relevant.
• Experience engaging diverse youth audiences and coordinating programming.

Responsibilities

• Design and facilitate age-appropriate, culturally responsive workshops across health, knowledge, and art focus areas.
• Coordinate with external facilitators and community partners to deliver programming.
• Maintain a consistent program schedule and ensure sessions are well-prepared and aligned with goals.
• Engage with youth and families, recruit participants, and connect members to resources as needed.
• Support volunteers and partner coordination to expand program reach.
• Track attendance and outcomes, contributing to program evaluations and reports.
