Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club Of the Northern Plains is seeking a Lead Youth Development Professional in Milbank to manage daily youth programming, supervise youth, and coach staff and volunteers to uphold Club safety and development goals.

You will plan, implement, and evaluate activities, promote positive youth development, and ensure clean, welcoming spaces while modeling professional behavior and Club values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Commitment to working four days a week.
• Willingness to create a class schedule for the upcoming semester.
• Availability to work during summer.
• Ability to work within school year operating hours.
• Ability to implement behavior management principles per Club values.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of daily programs, activities, and events.
• Encourage member engagement and healthy peer relationships.
• Maintain active supervision and uphold safety standards.
• Assist youth with behavioral challenges using aligned strategies.
• Provide feedback to Youth Development Professionals and volunteers.
• Model positive interactions, professionalism, and Club values.
• Maintain open communication with supervisors and staff.
• Facilitate activities that build confidence, social skills, leadership, and teamwork.
• Complete required documentation including attendance and incident reports.
• Attend all required meetings and collaborate on goals.
