Job summary

BGCGH, Houston, is seeking a Youth Programs Coordinator to plan, implement, and supervise education, athletics, arts & crafts, technology, and games activities for drop-in members. You will foster safe environments and model positive behavior across the club.

You will recruit and train volunteers, coordinate with staff and parents, monitor program outcomes, and assist with budgeting and facility management to ensure a high-quality members’ experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years experience working with youth and families required.
• Demonstrated ability to work with youth and families.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
• Valid Texas driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement noncompetitive programs for drop-in members daily.
• Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
• Monitor program achievement against targets and suggest improvements.
• Recruit, train and manage volunteers; give ongoing feedback.
• Work with Club Director to prepare department budget.
• Engage parents regarding opportunities and expectations of club members.
