Job summary

BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF GREATER HOUSTON INC. seeks a Lead Youth Development Specialist to oversee the delivery of diverse programs within the Club, including Education, Technology, Recreation, Arts & Crafts and PE.

You will plan, develop, implement and supervise program execution to support youth development outcomes. The role involves establishing program goals, ensuring a safe environment, evaluating programs, and coordinating staff and volunteer efforts.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Must be able to interpret Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston, Inc. programs and philosophy.
• Valid Texas driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee the administration of designated Club programs and activities that support Youth Development Outcomes.
• Establish Club program objectives consistent with organizational goals and mission; ensure safety and compliance with standards.
• Develop weekly/monthly program schedules and coordinate recruitment; encourage participation in multiple program areas.
• Lead, supervise, and evaluate staff and volunteers; provide feedback and development opportunities.
• Monitor program expenditures within approved budgets; maintain records and reporting of participation.
• Collaborate with external partners to enhance programs and coordinate events.
• Drive Club van for program-related transport as needed.
