Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston in Richmond, TX seeks a dedicated program staff member to plan, implement, supervise and evaluate core program activities spanning education, arts & crafts, athletics, technology and games room. You will foster healthy relationships with members and provide guidance and role modeling daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience working with youth and families required.
• Demonstrated ability and interest in working with youth.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
• Valid Texas driver’s license preferred (may be required at some Club locations).

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, supervise and evaluate core program activities in education, arts & crafts, athletics, technology and games room.
• Provide guidance and role modeling to members and foster healthy relationships.
• Plan and run a range of noncompetitive programs for drop-in members and visitors daily.
• Initiate new and creative program activities; promote participation.
• Monitor program achievement against goals and suggest modifications as needed.
• Ensure a healthy and safe environment; supervise members.
• Manage facilities and inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Recruit, train and supervise volunteers; provide feedback and development opportunities.
• Engage parents regarding opportunities and club participation.
• Assist Club Director with budget preparation and staff meetings.
