Job summary

East Side House seeks an Assistant Director to support the SONYC program at Urban Institute of Mathematics in the Bronx. The role reports to the Program Director and ensures inclusive, engaging youth and family services across site operations.

The position emphasizes on-site supervision, staff coaching, scheduling, outreach, and documentation to support high-quality enrichment activities and community impact.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; equival ent of 1+ years of experience in youth services or community programming.
• Familiarity with Bronx communities, local stakeholders, and available resources.
• Experience designing, planning, and implementing structured, outcome-based programming.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; highly organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day program operations as on-site lead.
• Supervise staff, schedule activities, and monitor safety.
• Engage families and manage enrollment and outreach.
• Maintain attendance, incident reports, and program records.
