East Side House (ESH) seeks an Assistant Director for SONYC Programs in the Bronx. Reporting to the Program Director, you will oversee day-to-day operations, supervise staff, and ensure safe, engaging, age-appropriate programming across youth, adult, and intergenerational components.

The role emphasizes community engagement, family outreach, accurate record-keeping, and collaboration with DYCD Connect and other departments to meet enrollment goals and program quality.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising staff in youth services or community programming.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong organization and communication.
• Knowledge of Bronx communities and local stakeholder networks.
• Familiarity with DYCD regulations and data systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day program operations and ensure safe, engaging services.
• Supervise staff, provide coaching, and coordinate scheduling.
• Support family engagement, enrollment goals, and community outreach.
• Maintain attendance, incident logs, and program documentation.
• Collaborate with DYCD Connect and other departments on compliance.
• Act as on-site lead when Program Director is unavailable.
