Job summary

Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma is seeking a Programs and Events Intern to support the Programs Team from October 1 to December 30, 2026. The role offers practical nonprofit experience in event planning, youth development and volunteer engagement, working under supervision to deliver a high-quality GSLE.

Expect evenings and weekends, with a flexible 15–20 hour schedule. Must be enrolled as a Fall Term student at the University of Oklahoma; strong organizational, communication and customer service

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a student for Fall Term at University of Oklahoma.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; customer service focus.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work evenings/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist planning, preparation and execution of Girl Scouts programs and events.
  • Prepare materials, supplies, registration, setup and teardown.
  • Facilitate activities and badge workshops for girls.
  • Support volunteers, staff and partners during events.
  • Attend planning meetings and contribute ideas.
  • Capture attendance, surveys and evaluate events.
  • Perform administrative tasks and data entry.
