Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston, Inc. is seeking a dedicated staff member to plan, implement and supervise core program areas for youth, including education, athletics, arts & crafts, technology and games room.

You will foster healthy relationships with members and model positive behavior. The role requires coordinating daily drop-in activities, promoting participation, maintaining safety, supervising facilities, and collaborating with the Club Director on budgeting and program

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Two years experience working with youth and families required.
Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Must be able to interpret Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston, Inc. programs and philosophy.
Valid Texas driver’s license preferred (may be required at some Club locations).
Must adhere to BGCGH Employee Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize and implement a range of noncompetitive programs and activities for drop in members and visitors daily.
Promote and stimulate program participation.
Recruit, train and manage assigned volunteers; provide ongoing feedback; identify and support development opportunities.
Monitor and evaluation of program achievement against target goals; participate in weekly staff meetings.
Ensure a healthy and safe environment, supervising members; manage facilities and inventory of equipment and supplies.
