Job summary

Roads to Success is seeking a Program Director to lead and supervise a NY program site in Manhattan & Bronx, ensuring high-quality youth development practices and compliance with regulations. The role reports to the Director of Program Operations and oversees Assistant Directors and activity staff.

The position emphasizes creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment, supervising staff, and collaborating with schools and families to advance RTS goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in youth development, after-school programming, education, or related field.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience required.
• Experience managing school-based, after-school, summer, or government-funded youth programs preferred.
• Familiarity with DYCD, NYC Public Schools/DOE, DOHMH, SACC, or similar youth-program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and oversight of the assigned program site.
• Ensure consistent implementation of RTS program standards, schedules, activities, and youth development practices.
• Maintain a safe, organized, inclusive, and welcoming program environment.
• Manage daily staffing assignments, transitions, activities, attendance, meals, and dismissal procedures.
• Communicate staffing, operational, safety, and program concerns to the Director of Program Operations.
• Recruit, onboard, train, schedule, and retain program staff in collaboration with HR and the Director of Program Operations.
