Job summary

DETROIT EMPLOYMENT SOLUTIONS seeks a Data & Performance Specialist to support program evaluation by analyzing outcomes and leveraging large datasets. You will use MIS systems, LaunchPad/Salesforce, and other data tools to determine service effectiveness and advise on data management strategies.

The role requires strong analytics, data visualization, and communication skills, plus experience managing multiple data sources in a fast-paced nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Analytics/Stats or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in data/performance roles.
• 3+ years focused on data and performance management in nonprofits preferred.
• Experience with data visualization and reporting for stakeholders.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to translate data into insights.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain data systems by tracking and entering performance data.
• Ensure data integrity by guiding contractors on data uploads.
• Monitor federally funded programs and identify improvement areas.
• Analyze large quantitative and qualitative data; draw conclusions.
• Fulfill data requests and prepare management reports.
• Manage large datasets using spreadsheets, Smartsheets, or databases.
• Assist in evaluation of program effectiveness with external evaluators.
• Collaborate with staff and stakeholders with diplomacy and professionalism.
• Organize and facilitate meetings; support strategic planning.
• Demonstrate projection and strategic thinking; adapt to changing demands.
