Job summary

SER Metro-Detroit is seeking a Data Performance Manager to design and administer a performance data tracking system for reviewing and monitoring contractual compliance and obligations across Detroit contracts/services.

The role analyzes performance outcomes by comparing actual against planned goals, evaluates service delivery processes, and identifies gaps while ensuring data integrity and effective reporting to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in data management/MIS.
• Analytical ability to identify and resolve data/system errors.
• Interpersonal skills for effective communication with staff and partner agencies.
• Ability to sit for long periods at a computer terminal.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license and willingness to travel to various locations outside of the office.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to the SER mission.
• Implements and manages a system-wide database for Detroit with expansion capabilities to include corporate-wide contract performance.
• Assists with systems migration and integration of data into SER systems.
• Acts as liaison between SER contractors and funding sources.
• Ensures internal reporting aligns with funding sources and performance metrics.
• Develops organizational performance indicators, scorecards, and dashboards related to service quality and performance.
• Generates performance data reports based on the organization’s needs.
• Works with data teams to improve techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and data integrity.
• Develops guidelines that promote uniform processes for data entry, collection, evaluation, and system changes.
• Works with IT for software, hardware, and data storage system upgrades and to troubleshoot system malfunctions or deficiencies.
• Prepares communication for review and dissemination to executive management, directors, and program managers to report program activities, status, and outcomes.
• Audits system to assure accurate and consistent data in accordance with funding guidelines.
• Provides staff with ongoing technical support and assistance to ensure that the database is efficient and provides accurate representations. Coordinates training when deemed necessary.
• Contributes to the team effort by performing other duties as assigned.
