Responsibilities

  • Collect, maintain, organize, and validate Youth Services data across the department.
  • Enter and maintain accurate client and program information in databases.
  • Generate recurring and ad hoc reports for leadership and funders.
  • Monitor data quality, identify discrepancies, and coordinate corrections.
  • Cross-reference data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy.
  • Support grant reporting by ensuring timely data submission.
  • Develop and maintain tracking tools, dashboards, and reports.
  • Assist leadership in monitoring outcomes and KPIs.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and follow policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate with staff to improve data collection processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Participate in audits, trainings, and QA initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

About the Opportunity

Detroit Recovery Project is seeking a Youth Services Data & Performance Coordinator to support the collection, management, reporting, and quality assurance of program data across the Youth Services Department.

This position serves as the department's primary resource for data integrity, grant reporting, program outcomes, and performance monitoring. Working closely with department leadership and program staff, the Youth Services Data & Performance Coordinator will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant data collection while supporting grant requirements, continuous quality improvement, and organizational decision-making.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $24.04-$26.44 per hour and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, technical skills, certifications, and overall qualifications.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position and is eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with applicable laws and organizational policies.

What We're Looking For

Detroit Recovery Project is seeking a highly organized, analytical professional with experience managing large volumes of data while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with multiple databases, preparing reports, monitoring performance metrics, and collaborating with program leadership to support grant compliance and quality improvement initiatives.

Candidates with strong Microsoft Office skills, excellent typing accuracy, and experience in behavioral health, healthcare, nonprofit, or grant-funded environments are strongly encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do
  • Collect, maintain, organize, and validate program data across the Youth Services Department.
  • Enter and maintain accurate client and program information within organizational databases and electronic systems.
  • Generate recurring and ad hoc reports for leadership, grant funders, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor data quality by identifying discrepancies, missing information, and reporting errors while coordinating timely corrections.
  • Cross-reference information from multiple databases and source documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support grant reporting requirements by ensuring data is collected, maintained, and submitted accurately and on time.
  • Develop and maintain tracking tools, spreadsheets, and reporting dashboards.
  • Assist department leadership in monitoring program outcomes, performance measures, and key performance indicators.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, organizational policies, grant requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with program managers and staff to improve data collection processes and reporting accuracy.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and organizational information.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in data collection, data management, reporting, quality assurance, healthcare administration, behavioral health, nonprofit operations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining databases and producing accurate reports.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Typing speed of 50+ words per minute with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively, and build positive working relationships.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and judgment when handling confidential information.
Preferred
  • Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Experience supporting grant-funded programs.
  • Experience with data reporting, dashboards, quality improvement, or performance metrics.
  • Experience working within behavioral health, healthcare, or nonprofit organizations.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
  • Valid and unrestricted Michigan Driver's License.
  • Reliable transportation with current automobile insurance meeting agency policy requirements.
  • Ability to successfully pass all pre-employment screening requirements, including a criminal background check and drug screening, consistent with applicable laws and organizational policies.
Travel

Occasional travel between Detroit Recovery Project locations and community sites may be required for meetings, trainings, audits, and program activities.
