Job summary

Qualifications

• HS diploma or HSE with 5 years of after-school experience required.
• Experience supervising or coordinating after-school programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Director to oversee day-to-day operations of the summer day camp and after-school programs.
• Attend event committee meetings, weekly team meetings, and other meetings as assigned.
• Assist Director in parent outreach via phone, memo, and personal meetings daily when children are not in attendance.
• Assist in supervising group leaders, tutors, Outreach Coordinator, and support staff.
• Assist in developing and implementing curriculum, lesson plans, schedules, rosters, etc.
• Assist in facilitating staff orientations and trainings.
• Assist in documenting and maintaining daily enrollment and attendance data.
• Keep all program records daily and annually, including registering participants.
• Track attendance of staff and participants.
• Attend relevant trainings and orientations.
• Oversee interns and volunteers.
• Ensure all DYCD and DOE required incident reports are completed and sent to the appropriate agency.
• Build and maintain partnerships with local officials and community leaders.
