Job summary

The Salvation Army is hiring a Youth Development Professional in Charlotte, NC to support center operations and youth programs. The role collaborates with program leaders to plan and lead activities that align with designated outcomes and community engagement goals.

You will assist in registrations, orientation, and provide positive role modeling to center members. You will help implement, monitor and evaluate programs for safety and quality, support outreach to sustain membership, and assist in

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience with Children and Youth preferred.
Ability to perform physical activities (standing, walking, bending) and lift 30–60 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

Prepare Youth for Success by creating an environment that facilitates relevant outcomes and encourages program participation.
Assist in program development, implementation, and evaluation to ensure safety and quality of activities.
Assist with member registration and center orientation; provide guidance and role modeling to youth.
Monitor programs and prepare periodic activity reports; assist with outreach to increase membership.
Maintain facility and equipment, report repairs, and support housekeeping of storage areas.
Participate in special programs/events and uphold Salvation Army policies.
