Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent mix of training/experience in a related field.
• At least 2+ years in a ministry-related field.
• At least 1+ years working with children in a structured setting.
• Experience with older adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead community outreach events and programs in collaboration with center leadership.
• Plan and implement daily youth enrichment activities including academics, arts, recreation, and SEL.
• Coordinate schedules and ensure alignment with goals and grant requirements.
• Supervise youth participants to promote positive behavior and leadership.
• Support and guide volunteers during activities.
• Maintain staff-to-student safety and ratios; ensure safety at all times.
• Monitor attendance and assist with program documentation and reporting.
• Communicate effectively with staff, families, and administration.
• Ensure activities are inclusive and developmentally appropriate.
• Assist with special events, field trips, and community engagement.
• Adhere to Michigan childcare standards and Salvation Army policies.
