Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Southern Territory in Houston, Texas is seeking a Youth Development Professional to plan, implement, supervise and evaluate activities within a Boys & Girls Club–aligned program.

You will support Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship; may oversee Keystone, Youth of the Year and Awards Programs, and you will build strong relationships with members and families to advance the mission.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; experience with Children and Youth preferred.
• Commitment to professional development; complete BGCA Spillett Training (20 credit hours).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate youth activities in alignment with program goals.
• Oversee special programs/events (e.g., Keystone, Youth of the Year, Awards Programs).
• Build professional relationships with members and families to advance The Salvation Army mission.
