Job summary

Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches is seeking a Program Billing Specialist to coordinate timely billing, collections for residential services, family support, and contracts, plus Medicaid-related billing for youth in care. You will also process thrift store and vehicle sales deposits and maintain AR ledgers under the Accounting Manager.

The role requires a minimum of three years in bookkeeping or accounting, strong computer and billing skills, and a commitment to confidentiality.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a high school diploma or GED and at least three years in bookkeeping or accounting.
• A high level of PC and software knowledge is required; experience with billing and reconciliation is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals and complex procedures; strong math and grammar skills.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly billing for clients in care and manage aging reports and AR sub-ledger reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly aging report, perform follow-ups, and generate billing/income reports as needed.
• Enter daily thrift store and vehicle sales, as well as debit/credit adjustments to AR.
• Enter all accounts receivable bank deposits and back up Medicaid billing as required.
• Maintain contracts, ensure compliance with contracts and state laws, and protect confidentiality.
