Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of Staten Island is seeking helpers to supervise and guide children and adolescents in our JCC/Compass programs. You will assist the activities specialist, help with snacks, take attendance, and provide ongoing supervision during activities.

Primary duties include homework help, facilitating activities like plays and games, and ensuring compliance with health department/DOE guidelines. Ideal candidates are experienced with youth, organized, and 18+.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth.
• Organized and able to follow through on tasks and goals.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist the activities specialist/teacher of the activity assigned for the hour.
• Assist the children of your group with their snack.
• Attend participants in your group.
• Provide overall supervision of children in the group.
• Assist with homework help.
• Facilitate activities such as plays, talent shows, games, etc.
• Follow all health department/DOE guidelines.
