Job summary

Staten Island JCC seeks individuals to assist with children's programs. You will help supervise activities, aid with homework, and ensure a safe environment.

This role offers part-time hours from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Ideal candidates are organized and have experience working with youth. Join us in fostering a welcoming community!

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience working with youth is required.
• Ability to follow through on tasks and goals.

• Assist activities specialist/teacher during activities.

About You

Should be familiar with all JCC programs, embrace the agency’s mission, have excellent communication skills and experience working with youth.

What You’ll Do

• Assisting the activities specialist/teacher of the activity you are given for the hour
• Assisting the children of your assigned group with their snack
• Attendance of participants in your group
• Overall supervision of children in their group
• Assisting with homework help
• Facilitating certain activities such as plays, talent shows, games etc.
• Following all health department/DOE guidelines

Our Requirements

• Organized and exhibit follow through on tasks and goals
• Hours: Monday through Friday, 2:30 to 5:30pm
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Salary

$17 Hourly
