Job summary

The Staten Island JCC is seeking staff to supervise and guide children and adolescents in our JCC/Compass programs in New York. You will support the activities specialist, help with snacks, supervise attendance, and oversee group activities with a focus on safety and engagement.

You should be familiar with all JCC programs, communicate effectively, and work with youth. Must be 18+ and organized to meet program goals and expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Organized and able to follow through on tasks and goals.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the activities specialist/teacher of the activity you are given for the hour.
• Assisting the children of your assigned group with their snack.
• Attendance of participants in your group.
• Overall supervision of children in their group.
• Assisting with Homework help.
• Facilitating activities such as plays, talent shows, games, etc.
• Following all health department/DOE guidelines.
