Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago is seeking a Program Instructor to prepare youth for success by implementing engaging programs, supervising members, and evaluating activities. You will orient new members, model positive behavior, and help run weekly plans while maintaining safety and order in a dynamic club environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• 1–2 years’ Youth Development experience.
• Excellent communication/inter-personal skills.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavioral problems.
• Ability to interact with general public.
• Ability to plan and implement quality learning programs for youth.
• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare youth for success and create development opportunities.
• Orients new members to Club programs and safety rules.
• Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
• Develop and post weekly program plans and monitor activities.
• Maintain records of attendance and participation.
• Supervise volunteers and program assistants.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and engaging program area.
• Contribute to team efforts and participate in trainings.
