Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago is seeking a part-time Program Instructor to support after-school and summer programming at True Value Club in Chicago, IL. The role focuses on youth development across academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good character.

Responsibilities include planning weekly activities, orienting new members, supervising youth, and coordinating with volunteers to maintain a safe, engaging club environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of youth development experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavioral problems.
• Ability to interact with the general public.
• Ability to plan and implement quality learning programs for youth.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and implement youth programs across Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Citizenship.
• Orient new members to Club programs, events, and safety rules.
• Develop weekly program plans and monitor activities.
• Supervise members and train volunteers.
• Maintain attendance records and ensure program safety.
• May drive the Club van as needed.
