Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago is seeking a Program Instructor to prepare and implement youth programs, supervise club members, and evaluate activities within a defined program area, advancing outcomes in Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (Associate’s degree preferred), 1–2 years in youth development, and strong communication skills to motivate youth, manage behavior, and collaborate with the public during after-school and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• One to Two years’ Youth Development experience.
• Excellent communication/inter-personal skills.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavioral problems.
• Ability to interact with general public.
• Ability to plan and implement quality learning programs for youth.
• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare youth for success and guide members toward Youth Development Outcomes.
• Develop and post weekly/monthly program plans and monitor activities.
• Maintain order and supervise volunteers and program assistants.
• Monitor supplies and keep the program area neat and safe.
• Participate in weekly Club Leader meetings and training opportunities.
