Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago is seeking a part-time Program Instructor for the James R Jordan Club in Chicago, IL 60612. The role supports academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good character in youth during after-school and summer hours.

Responsibilities include preparing and implementing programs, supervising members, evaluating activities, and ensuring safety and quality of services, with opportunities to develop professionally within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication/inter-personal skills.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavioral problems.
• Organize and supervise members in a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare youth for success by creating an environment that supports Youth Development Outcomes.
• Implements, monitors and evaluates programs and activities for members.
• Develops and posts weekly and monthly program plans.
• Monitors safety and program quality; ensures a productive work environment.
• Recognizes member participation and achievement; maintains attendance records.
• Supervises volunteers and program assistants; participates in weekly Club Leader meetings.
