Job summary

Old Colony YMCA is seeking an Assistant Group Leader to assist in supervising a community-based child care program at 85 Main Street, Carver, MA. You will help maintain a safe, healthy, and constructive environment for children while reflecting the organization’s mission.

Responsibilities include supporting the Site Coordinator, promoting core values of caring, responsibility, honesty and respect, and contributing to a cohesive team.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Evidence of physical examination within last 12 months.
• Negative Mantoux TB test and immunity for measles, mumps, and rubella.
• Ability to create and sustain a culture of excellence and work as part of a team.
• Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and clean when necessary.
• Occasional early mornings, late nights and weekends.

• Assist in supervising the program and ensure a safe, healthy environment for all children.
• Uphold the mission beliefs of the Old Colony Y in all duties.
• Model and encourage caring, responsibility, honesty and respect.
