Job summary

Naval District Washington (NDW) NAF is seeking a CYP Assistant to work with children and youth under the DoD CYP programs. You will help develop schedules, implement activities, and ensure safety and positive development in a structured environment.

Responsibilities include supervision, parent communication, and adherence to DoD/NAV policies. A background check, drug testing, and U.S. residency requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Pass all required background checks and drug testing.
• U.S. citizen or 3 years of lawful U.S. residency.
• Education: HS diploma or equivalent; transcripts if degree awarded.

Responsibilities

• Develops schedules and activity plans for children and youth.
• Implements activities meeting physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs.
• Supervises and ensures safety during indoor and outdoor activities.
• Communicates with parents and staff about child progress and program activities.
• Ensures compliance with DoD and installation policies.
