Job summary

The Navy Region Naval District Washington Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) seeks a CYP Program Assistant to supervise and engage children and youth, promoting safe, healthy, and educational experiences during the program day.

You will implement activities, maintain environments, communicate with parents, and ensure compliance with DoD policies. Strong English communication, teamwork, and the ability to follow instructions are essential; background checks and immunization requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to promote and foster effective working relationships with children, youth, and coworkers.
• Six (6) months of experience working with children or youth in a child and youth setting.

Responsibilities

• Develops schedules and activity plans and implements activities.
• Maintains indoor and outdoor environment and materials.
• Supervises children and youth during daily activities and field trips.
• Interacts with parents and employees to communicate progress and concerns.
