Job summary

City of Boston seeks a Program Manager – Discover YOU to lead the Franklin Field Youth Workforce Pathway Program, focusing on workforce readiness, post-secondary education, and personal development. You will deliver the Discover YOU curriculum, support out-of-school programming, and engage youth and families.

You will collaborate with schools and community partners, recruit and retain participants, and ensure documentation meets grant requirements.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years in youth development or related field.
Assoc. degree may substitute for one year; Bachelor's may substitute for up to two years.
Experience facilitating youth development programs or educational programming.
Knowledge of workforce readiness and post-secondary education pathways.
Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and facilitation skills.
Coordinate activities, manage schedules, maintain records, meet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; maintain electronic records and reports.
Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
Massachusetts driver’s license and Boston residency required.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and facilitate Discover YOU curriculum for grades 9–12.
Coordinate out-of-school, summer, and holiday programming and events.
Collaborate with families, schools, and partners to identify needs and improvements.
Participate in community meetings, gather feedback, report to leadership.
Support youth recruitment, enrollment, attendance, and engagement.
Assist Youth Center Coordinator with daily operations: space, supplies, schedules, timesheets, documentation.
Monitor attendance and program outcomes; prepare periodic progress reports.
