Job summary

Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges is seeking a Program Supervisor to oversee safe, engaging party environments for members and rental participants. You will supervise staff, coordinate activities, and ensure excellent customer service through setup and cleanup.

The role requires strong communication, planning, and adherence to safety policies, with flexible scheduling and regular staff training. You will collaborate with directors to ensure a high-value member experience and safe event operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and prevent injuries by supervising rental participants.
• Ability to communicate information clearly, and answer member inquiries and concerns.
• Maintain schedules for all parties, rooms, and staff.
• Work alongside supervisor to develop program staff, including recruiting and training.
• Monitor all rental participants and enforce safety regulations, and apply appropriate management techniques.
• Serve as a liaison between rental participants and other Directors to maintain open communication.
• Assist with room and decorations preparation and clean up afterwards.
• Accurately complete attendance records, incident reports, program evaluations, etc.
• Monitor rental participants to assure responsible and proper use of equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of Association policies and procedures, risk management, safety practices and applicable laws.
• Lead by example at all times. Interact with a high level of professionalism and accountability.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
