Metro YMCA of the Oranges is seeking a mission-driven program leader to oversee safety and deliver engaging youth activities. You will run games, support snacks, and assist with homework while following YMCA policies and safety protocols.

The role requires working with children, families, and school staff to promote healthy living and positive development. Training and certifications may be required and background checks are mandatory.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma required; college credits/degree preferred.
• Basic understanding of youth development principles.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with all levels including staff, parents and school staff.
• 1–3 years’ experience leading group activities.
• Ability to work as part of a team and be a positive role model.
• First-Aid, CPR and AED certification may be required.
• Must complete background checks and Mantoux test within two weeks of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and ensure the safety of all children of assigned group by following supervision standards.
• Lead and support the implementation of program activities including running games and physical activities.
• Follow YMCA protocols for safety drills and emergencies.
• Use positive group management techniques and address behavior issues per policy.
• Represent the YMCA positively with children, families, and school personnel.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary program environment and assist with snack setup/cleanup.
