The Crew Learning Specialist at the Boys & Girls Club Of the Northern Plains works with the Learning Lead to support youth academic growth, provide homework help, and reinforce learning in a safe, engaging environment.

Responsibilities include supervising youth, reinforcing positive behavior, and delivering enrichment activities while upholding the club's mission and values. This part-time role emphasizes collaboration, development, and safe, welcoming program operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience working with elementary-aged children.
• Commitment to working five days a week.
• Ability to provide leadership and supervision to assigned employees.
• Understand and demonstrate behavior management principles per Club training and Values.

Responsibilities

• Support the academic growth, development, and overall progress of youth.
• Maintain a growth mindset toward youth learning, professional development, and teaching practices.
• Encourage problem-solving, curiosity, critical thinking, and independent learning.
• Provide academic support through homework assistance, special projects, enrichment activities, and other educational opportunities.
• Support youth experiencing behavioral challenges using positive behavioral strategies and follow established Success Plans.
