Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Plains is seeking a Crew Learning Specialist to support academic growth and youth success in Brookings, SD. The part-time, non-exempt position works with the Learning Lead to provide homework help, reinforce concepts, and run enrichment activities in a safe, engaging learning space.

Responsibilities include supervising members, applying positive behavior strategies, and contributing to program quality in alignment with the Club's mission and values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Previous work with elementary-aged children.
• Commitment to working five days a week.
• Must understand and demonstrate behavior management principles as taught by the Club.

Responsibilities

• Support the academic growth and progress of youth.
• Provide homework assistance and enrichment activities.
• Supervise members and maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
• Apply positive behavioral strategies and follow established Success Plans.
• Contribute to implementing the 5 Key Elements of Positive Youth Development.
