Job summary

Utah State University Iron County Extension seeks a Youth Service Learning Coordinator to organize and support youth leadership initiatives within the 4-H program. You will implement service-learning experiences, coordinate events, and help manage program operations to empower youth and their communities.

The role focuses on youth engagement, collaboration with local partners, and maintaining records and budgets, with flexible hours including some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have access to reliable transportation to and from work site.
• Availability to work occasional evenings, weekends, or special events as required.
• Experience working with youth, community engagement, or volunteer coordination preferred.
• Exceptional listener and communicator with strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate YSL meetings, scheduling, agenda preparation, communication, and follow-up.
• Plan, coordinate, and support summer camps and other seasonal youth programs.
• Oversee YSL activities, including fundraising events and community service projects.
• Oversee YSL activities, including monthly city council activity reports and recruitment efforts.
• Maintain accurate records, reporting, and budgets.
