Job summary

Utah State University seeks an energetic Elementary Youth Programs Coordinator to develop and deliver hands-on, inquiry-based learning for children ages 5–13. The role supports field trips, classroom outreach, camps, and after-school programs, creating engaging learning in nature.

Working closely with the Director of Youth Programs, you will mentor staff and volunteers, manage resources, and help evaluate program impact while ensuring safety and accessibility for diverse learners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with youth in educational settings.
  • Valid driver’s license to drive university vehicles.
  • Successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Lead educator for youth programs aged 5–13; develops science-based curricula and plans schedules with the Director of Youth Programs.
  • Deliver field trips and classroom outreach with SEEd-aligned lessons and maintain school partner curricula.
  • Oversee and mentor education staff and volunteers; manage supplies and materials.
  • Support Swaner initiatives and events and perform related duties.
