Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee is seeking a part-time Youth Development Professional at 53rd Street to assist in planning, organizing, and implementing programs that empower youth to make healthy choices and develop leadership skills.

The role requires working with diverse youth aged 4-18, maintaining attendance, and following BGCGM policies. Training in CPR/First Aid is expected within 6 months, with multiple education steps tied to level progression.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Within 6 months of hire: CPR, First Aid, and SCAN_MART or equivalent.
• Within 6 months of hire: at least 2 non-credit DCF-approved classes.
• Level 2+ requires further credentials as listed (see levels 2–4).
• 12 related college credits OR Registry Level 6 is preferred for higher levels.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement program activities aligned with curricula and goals.
• Maintain accurate attendance and track member participation; generate reports as needed.
• Follow BGCGM policies including member safety, conduct, and reporting procedures.
• Engage families and community partners to support program goals.
• Demonstrate professionalism, participate in training and apply new learnings.
• Provide supportive relationships and guidance to youth and staff when needed.
