Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs Of Greater Milwaukee is seeking a dedicated part-time program assistant to help plan and implement youth programs and activities in Milwaukee, WI. You will foster empowerment, safety, and engagement among members, while aligning with BGCGM policies and curricula.

Youth-focused responsibilities include planning activities, gathering member feedback, and maintaining records. A team-oriented, diverse-environment mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CPR, First Aid and SCAN_MART within 6 months of hire.
• Within 6 months, complete at least 2 non-credit DCF-approved classes.
• At least 6 months of experience in youth programming preferred.
• 80 full days or 120 half days of assistant childcare experience, if required.
• Experience working with youth and ability to engage diverse families.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written; confidentiality matters.
• Awareness of local/state curricula frameworks and standards.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate BGCGM philosophy and provide inclusive programs.
• Assist in planning, organizing and implementing activities aligning with curricula.
• Gather feedback from members and follow policies on safety and care.
• Maintain attendance, track participation, and generate reports.
• Collaborate with families and community partners to support goals.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and contribute to staff teamwork.
• Provide guidance and advocacy for youth; support staff as needed.
• May supervise staff as applicable by level.
• Understand and apply club safety and transport policies.
