VisionQuest is seeking a Cook to provide nutritious meals for children in our residential care setting. The role emphasizes creativity, dietary accommodations, and adherence to food safety and hygiene practices.

You will plan meals, assist with menus, monitor temperatures, and coordinate with staff to ensure timely, balanced, and culturally appropriate nutrition for residents. A valid Food Manager/Handler certificate is preferred or obtainable after hire.

Qualificações

• Minimum of GED or High School Diploma.
• Previous experience as a cook, or in a residential/institutional kitchen preferred.
• Current Food Managers/Handlers certificate or ability to obtain after hire.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and prepare nutritious, kid-friendly meals respecting dietary needs and menus.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and proper storage of ingredients.
• Manage kitchen workflow, inventory, and cost-effective meal planning within budget.
• Collaborate with residential staff to align meal schedules and dietary requirements.
• Participate in training to stay informed about residents' dietary needs.
