Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking a Cook to plan and prepare nutritious, family-style meals for children, educators, and staff in a licensed child care center. You will help maintain a clean kitchen, follow menus and nutrition guidelines, and support daily meal service with center staff.

The role requires background checks, at least a high school diploma or GED, and a food handler certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days). Experience in childcare or high-volume food service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Pass state and company background checks.
• 18+ with a HS diploma or GED.
• Food handler certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Nutrition coursework or certification preferred.
• Food service experience in childcare/school cafeteria/high-volume setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare balanced, family-style meals and snacks following approved menus, nutritional guidelines, and daily attendance counts.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen by following food safety, allergy management, sanitation, and health procedures.
• Manage food and supply inventory, place orders with approved vendors, and support daily meal service with center staff.
