Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Youth Development Manager to support a range of programs including STEM, literacy, mentoring, and athletics. This role assists the Clubhouse Director with planning, supervision, and oversight of youth programs and ensures compliance with regulations.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service, excellent communication, and the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Advanced positive customer service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with young people in a positive manner.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior experience working with young people is a plus.
• Strong time management, organization, and project prioritization skills.
• Proficient in Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare young people for success by creating and monitoring an environment that facilitates achievement and a sense of self-worth.
• Ensure a healthy and safe environment; maintain facilities, equipment and supplies.
• Assist in planning, developing, implementation and evaluation of programs, services and activities.
• Maintain and distribute marketing and promotional materials.
• Ensure a productive work environment under the leadership of the Clubhouse Director.
• Support the Clubhouse Director in the management of programs, children, and families.
• Assist with development of day-to-day lessons/programming with emphasis in STEM, literacy, mentoring, and athletics.

Associate's degree in early childhood ed / child development / special ed / elementary ed / human services

Associate's degree plus 30 credits in relevant fields + 1 year experience
