AMIkids in Jacksonville is seeking an Instructor to support program academic learning, test preparation and classroom activities. The role focuses on facilitating lesson plans, helping students earn credits or a GED, and guiding youth toward educational success.

The position involves teaching core subjects, life skills, and career readiness, while utilizing the Blended Learning Model and maintaining youth records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Two years of experience working with youth.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate academic needs; provide instruction to diverse youth.
• Teach core subjects and electives per lesson plans and IEPs.
• Motivate youth toward educational goals; maintain records of lessons and grades.
• Supervise classroom activities and computer-based assignments.
• Maintain educational materials, equipment and resources.
• Ensure timely, accurate youth records (lessons, grades).
• Serve as advisor and role model; maintain professional conduct.
• Attend crisis intervention and CPR/First Aid training per state requirements.

Education
