Job summary

AMIkids Duval is hiring a Career & Technical Instructor to guide youth in career development and technical training in a structured setting in Jacksonville, FL. The role requires delivering instruction aligned with IEPs, maintaining records, and ensuring safety and program standards.

You will mentor youth, supervise hands-on activities, and participate in required certifications. The position emphasizes fostering growth, using blended learning methods, and supporting students on their pathway to

Qualifications

• Two (2) years relevant experience.
• Prior experience working with youth is a plus.
• Ability to obtain and maintain industry credentials.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and oversee youth training in identified career and technical development.
• Assess and evaluate academic needs of youth; provide professional instruction to a diverse population.
• Advise youth on career options including coursework, specializations and other career topics.
• Provide instruction per lesson plans and IEPs using AMIkids Blended Learning Model.
• Design hands-on lesson plans enabling proper use of tools, equipment, technology and techniques.
• Create and administer exams to evaluate progress and effectiveness of lessons.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry policies and procedures.
• Motivate and guide youth toward goals and objectives.
• Use Behavior Modification System to provide redirection and coaching.
• Maintain PPE, equipment and materials safely and report issues.
• Maintain training materials, equipment and resources and inventory.
• Keep timely youth records (plans, grades, etc.).
• Document youth industry certification into the national registry.
• Serve as advisor and positive role model for youth.
• Attend mandated crisis intervention and physical restraint training and CPR/First Aid certification.
• Maintain classroom and work area cleanliness and safety.
• Maintain regular attendance and appropriate work habits.
• Supervise/coordinate trips and activities; assist with projects and other duties.

Education

High School or better.
