Job summary

AMIkids Gainesville is seeking a part-time Academic Instructor (GED) to support classroom learning and testing functions on-site in Gainesville, FL. You will facilitate lesson plans and monitor student progress toward GED credits while applying the Blended Learning Model.

The role emphasizes engaging youth, maintaining records, and participating in required trainings (CPR/First Aid, crisis intervention). Prior experience with youth is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two (2) years of experience working with youth.

Responsibilities

• Assist with program academic learning and testing functions and classroom activities.
• Facilitate lesson plans and aim for students' success in earning credits or GED.
• Provide instruction in core subjects and electives per lesson plans and AMIkids Blended Learning Model.
• Motivate and guide youth toward educational goals and objectives.
• Supervise classroom activities and computer-based assignments.
• Maintain timely youth records and participate in crisis intervention/training as required.

Education

High School or better
