More Than Words, Inc. (MTW) in Waltham seeks a Business Training Manager to lead online and retail shifts and coach youth employees. The role blends hands-on supervision with coaching to build youth employment skills and professional growth.

You will manage shifts, drive safety and standards, and support ongoing training while coordinating with the management team. A strong commitment to anti-racism and youth development is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or significant work experience is required.
• A four-year college degree is preferred, or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree.
• Experience managing and supervising for at least 3 years, ideally in retail or online enterprise.
• Willingness and ability to be accountable for business operations results.
• Preparedness to be a role model and professional resource for youth.
• Willingness to work towards continual education related to anti-racism and trainings.
• Commitment to working directly with youth and motivating a team to high performance.
• Ability to work full-time with a flexible schedule including mornings, nights, and weekends.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Exceptional communication and sensitivity to MTW’s diverse constituencies.
• Great customer-service skills.
• Ability to train effectively across learning styles and grade levels.
• Able to lift boxes weighing ~25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ecommerce, profitability, training, and inventory management.
• Lead shifts and a team of 5-6 youth to achieve revenue and quality goals.
• Ensure safety, policies, and scheduling, including some evening and one weekend shift.
• Train youth employees with ongoing feedback and coordinate weekly team meetings.
• Coordinate day-to-day training and workshops with management.
