Job summary

Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch is seeking a Family Support Specialist to provide in-home, school-based, and community support for youth and families. The role uses evidence-based interventions to promote social, emotional, and physical well-being.

You will work with treatment teams, educators, and families, develop individualized plans, document in EMR, and participate in supervision and PQI activities. Must have a bachelor’s in a human services field and be 21+, with a background check.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Fingerprints/Background check and child abuse registry clearance required by Montana.
• Proficiency in electronic documentation and typing; MS Office 365 familiarity.
• Willingness to drive to YBGR locations and families’ homes, schools, or communities.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and supervisory collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized plans tailored to each youth.
• Provide consistent, therapeutic support in school, home, and community settings.
• Collaborate with treatment teams, educators, and families for comprehensive care.
• Accurately complete EMR documentation per agency standards.
• Support PQI initiatives and organizational objectives.
• Participate in supervision, training, and ongoing professional development.
• Travel to various locations to meet with youth, families, and stakeholders.
