Covenant House New Jersey is seeking a Youth Engagement Support Staff (YESS) to work with young people in a trauma-informed, strength-based setting. The role involves crisis intervention, documentation in HMIS/ETO, and facilitating activities through a multi-disciplinary team to create a safe, inclusive environment.

The YESS will support youth through engagement, progress on success plan goals, and daily activities, including transportation when required and front desk coverage.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work or related field.
• Experience with youth ages 18–24 who are homeless or trafficked preferred.
• Knowledge of public benefits in NJ.
• Must have a valid NJ driver’s license and ability to transport clients if required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide unconditional positive regard to young people.
• Support case management to develop positive relationships and progress toward goals.
• Document intake, orientation, transitions, and daily progress notes.
• Cover front desk and perform building-wide duties as assigned.
• Assist with transportation of youth using agency vehicles when required.
• Support fundraising events and special projects as needed.
