Job summary

RESPITE CARE OF SAN ANTONIO is seeking a Youth Engagement and Services Coordinator to oversee daily operations in our San Antonio program. This full-time role reports to the Program Director and supports the care teams in coordinating medical, therapeutic, and social services for residents.

Responsibilities include conducting weekly MAR audits, coordinating appointments, maintaining calendars, ensuring documentation is filed promptly, and advocating for children at appointments.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older with favorable background checks.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a medical environment, preferably with intellectual disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as direct report to the Program Director and assist with program operations.
• Complete weekly MAR audits and present findings weekly.
• Audit medications weekly and submit refills on the same day.
• Transport children to medical appointments as needed.
• Liaise between nursing staff, administrators, and doctors’ offices.
• Advocate for children during appointments.
• Create weekly medical, therapy, and visit calendars.
• Schedule home health therapies and coordinate conflicts with therapies.
• Train the Train the Trainer medication administration and oversee refreshers.
• Receive and file medical documentation in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with case managers for required documentation.
• Create and maintain face sheets for shelter residents.
• Participate in on-call rotation and support work-life balance.
• Perform duties of direct care providers as needed.
• Cross-system coordination including school, medical, dental, behavioral health, and other services.
