Job summary

Buckner Children and Family Services in Dallas, TX is seeking a Child and Youth Coordinator for the Family Hope Center Program. The role focuses on raising awareness of Buckner's services and empowering youth to build confidence, resilience, and leadership through community partnerships and on-site programs.

You will develop and coordinate on-site and outreach activities, enroll youth in programs, build relationships with schools and social service agencies, and organize events such as sports

Qualifications

• Requires bilingual English and Spanish proficiency.
• Minimum two years of related experience required.
• One year of community-based services experience preferred.
• Requires ability to drive with a valid license and provide insurance.
• CPR and First Aid willingness/training required.
• Knowledge of local youth resources and social services.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be 21 or older to drive on behalf of Buckner.

Responsibilities

• Discuss needs of children and youth with Family Coach and connect resources via local agencies and volunteers.
• Assist youth and children in accessing onsite programs and referrals identified in the community.
• Develop and manage a system coordinating on-site and off-site programs and foster communication among sponsors.
• Support leadership and development opportunities for youth, including enrollments and school registrations.
• Develop relationships with schools, community organizations and service providers for program development.
• Assess youth needs and research models to address identified concerns.
• Coordinate regular events at the Family Hope Center (e.g., sports camps, youth leadership, children camps, VBS).
• Maintain a master calendar of activities and oversee in-kind donations.
