Job summary

Buckner Children and Family Services in Dallas is seeking a Child and Youth Coordinator to support the Family Hope Center Program onsite. You will help identify needs, connect families with empowerment resources, and foster youth leadership and resilience through on-site and community partnerships.

You will coordinate programs with schools and community partners, organize events, manage a master calendar, and support enrollment and outreach while maintaining compassionate, bilingual

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum two years of related experience.
• Experience providing community-based services to youth.
• Bilingual English and Spanish required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Discuss needs of children and youth with Family Coach and bring empowerment resources through local agencies and volunteers.
• Assist youth and children in accessing on-site programs and other services; accommodate varied capabilities.
• Develop and manage a system to coordinate on-site and off-site programs and aid communication among sponsors.
• Support program enrollment, school enrollment, and other services for youth leadership and development.
• Develop relationships with institutions and social service organizations to guide program development and implementation.
• Assess needs of youth; research models and recruit local programs to address identified needs.
• Coordinate regular events (sports camps, youth leadership, camps, VBS) and lead empowerment events.
• Organize and coordinate a comprehensive children and youth program with area schools.
• Maintain a master calendar of volunteer and campus activities; distribute notices.
